The hikes that made this region famous are all close: Old Man's Cave is 18 minutes, Cedar Falls 19, Conkle's Hollow and Rock House about 20, and Ash Cave 24. Lake Logan is 7 minutes away for fishing and sunset walks, and Rockbridge State Nature Preserve — home to Ohio's longest natural rock bridge — is a 9-minute drive most visitors never discover. You'll want a car for your stay — Hocking Hills is a driving region, with no public transit and very limited rideshare coverage. The good news: everything is easy from here. GPS takes you straight to the door, the roads in are paved and well-maintained, and the parks, trailheads, and Logan's restaurants and shops are all a short, simple drive.

Pro tip from your hosts: punch the GPS coordinates or directions to the park you're visiting into your phone before you pull out of the driveway. Cell service on the drive out to the trailheads can get spotty, and loading directions while you're on our WiFi saves you the headache of losing them halfway there.
